Description

The short pale blue flowers of flax are known to follow the sun and close up when it gets too hot out. Following flowering, the plants may be kept for seed production to be used in the kitchen (ground, whole or oil) or for linen/textile production. Direct sow after last frost once ground maybe worked about . inch (0.5 cm) deep in rows (2inch or 4 cm apart) or blocks (size dependant on your ability to weed the inside). May also be broadcast (sprinkled) in larger areas and covered with netting to deter birds until sprouted.
