Description

These muskmelons, also called snake melons, are normally eaten as cucumbers once they are 10-12 inches long (20-25 cm). For better results, start indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost by planting 1/2 inch (1 cm) deep. Transplant about 2 feet (60 cm) apart once they have been acclimatized and evening temperatures are above 10 oC. These like hot weather and may be allowed to sprawl about or will take to growing up a sturdy trellis.
