It was conversations about ‘why don’t we collect and plant the potato seeds?’ and ‘why do we buy some plants as seeds, others as small plants and yet some we can’t buy at all and must keep our own seeds?’ that got this business started. Amanj, having just completed grade 4 in the spring of 2018, had a good grasp of the growing cycle of the standard plant and the steps to a slightly above average garden. Amanj also has the benefit of being surrounded by family with multiple generations of successful entrepreneurship. After realizing that a lemonade stand wasn’t financially viable in our neighbourhood, electronics recycling takes up a bunch of space and needs a reliable vehicle and that candle and soap making are profitable but can be a bit dangerous (even with parental supervision), Amanj has decided to try his green thumb. He spent the summer months collecting seeds from the plants in our garden and making contacts. In the fall months he nagged his parents and grandparents to help out with ordering packaging, information for distribution and website development. He has been working in the winter months with proof-reading and getting distribution ready. With this, we are pleased to present Amanj seeds to you.
